A few quick frames from Bill Weitkemper’s election night watch party.
If you had told me a year ago to make images at a city council watch party, I would have inwardly groaned and claimed nothing visual could possibly happen at something so local government.
I suppose I’ve become more optimistic when it comes to pitches that seem (initially) pretty bland. It’s strangely satisfying coming back with frames I feel good about, when I know the old me would have gone into an event with insufferable apprehension. Maybe I’m becoming increasingly conscious about framing things cleaner? Maybe I’m getting luckier?
Who cares why, really. It just feels good to know I’m growing.
