STAR WARS!

Breaking news, there's a new Star Wars movie coming out. I was super lucky, and was able to photograph for the Press Herald's coverage. One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to speak with people who are incredibly passionate about something specific, so, yes, there was quite a bit of passion to be found here.

Phuc Tran with his Princess Leia tattoo at his home in Portland, ME
Declan McMahon, 12, and his father Tim McMahon dressed as a Stormtrooper and a Jawa at their home in Portland, ME on Monday, November 30, 2015. Tim McMahon, Declan's father, made Declan's costume by hand, and the father and son regularly attend Star Wars meet-ups together to don the costumes.
Karen Morgan in her home in Cumberland, ME on Wednesday, December 2, 2015. Morgan was a teenager when the original Star Wars movie was released, and said she saw the movie more than 20 times in theaters. Morgan collected every bubblegum card, a total of 64, in the photo above.
Lucky Sinakhom with his family (from left) Alec Hudson, Lee Sinkahom, Ronin Sinkahom, 7, and Jesse Sinakhom, 15 at Lucky's Tattoo Company in Portland, ME on Monday, December 7, 2015. Alec and Ronin both have Autism spectrum disorder, and have been better able to verbally communicate through watching the movies. Ronin was recently gifted a stuffed Darth Vader, and Lucky said Ronin has been able to sleep in his own bed for the first time by being comforted by Darth.
