The Little Britches National Rodeo Championships were held last week in Pueblo-and man, rodeo kids are intense kids. Many of the older competitors will continue professionally, and whether or not that happens depends quite a bit on how well they performed at Little Britches. I spent quite a bit of time with the bareback bronc and bull riders, so here are some images from that part of the rodeo.

Trace Chidester, 14, received medical treatment after his run in the Junior Bull Riding competition, where his bull stepped on his elbow, tearing a tendon and potentially breaking a bone Friday, July 26 2013 at the Pueblo State Fairgrounds. "If it still hurts in a while I'll go to the hospital," Chidester said, "but I'll wait and watch the rest of the runs first."
